  5. Garnish with an orange wheel.

How to cheat...

Alternative to a stirring spoon

A chopstick or teaspoon will work just as well.

Spices shortcut

You’ll find mulling spice sachets in most supermarkets. This will save you adding the cinnamon stick and cloves. Plus…they are easy to fish out when you have reached the flavour you are looking for.

How to show off...

Think smart to impress with your garnish

Garnish with a piece of candied ginger on the edge of the mug or a slice of clementine studded with some cloves to add flavour and wow your guests.

Toddy to go

Decant your creation into an insulated flask and take with you to Halloween parties, Bonfire night or Christmas carol services. Don’t forget the paper cups!
